Velahub Terms of Service

Velahub is a large-language-model API gateway that offers Users a unified interface to multiple upstream models. The Service is operated by Velahub (the "Operator", "we", "us"). These Terms govern Your use of the Service at velahub.ai and any related subdomains.

Payments for the Service are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects payment, handles applicable sales tax/VAT/GST, and issues receipts on Our behalf. See Section 6 for details.

You can think of Velahub as a request router and metering layer:

• You send a request → Velahub forwards it to the model provider you selected;
• The model generates a response → Velahub passes it through to you;
• Velahub records the tokens consumed and the cost of the call, and deducts the amount from your wallet.

Content generated by a model is the responsibility of that model's provider. Your use of each model is also subject to that provider's terms:

• Anthropic Usage Policy (claude-* models)
• OpenAI Usage Policies (gpt-* models)
• Google Generative AI Additional Terms (gemini-* models)
• DeepSeek User Agreement (deepseek-* models)
• Other models accessed through aggregators are bound by the terms of those aggregators

Calling an upstream model constitutes your acceptance of that model provider's terms. Velahub cannot waive upstream terms on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for determining whether use of this Service complies with the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:

• Whether your jurisdiction permits individuals or entities to use overseas large-language-model APIs;
• Whether your use case triggers local requirements on content moderation, data security, AIGC filing, personal-information protection, export controls, or sanctions;
• Any reporting, licensing, tax, or record-keeping obligations you may need to fulfill.

Velahub does not provide advice or guarantees regarding compliance matters in your jurisdiction. Any consequences arising from a User's local non-compliance are borne by that User.

1. Registration requires a valid email address. Sign-in is via one-time verification code; there is no password. Please use an email address you control.
2. Age requirement: you must be at least 18 years of age, or use the Service with the consent of a legal guardian. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, do not use the Service.
3. An API Key (vh-live-…) is returned in plaintext only once at creation; please store it securely. Any balance consumption traceable to your key is treated as authorized by you.

When using Velahub, you must not:

• Engage in any activity that violates the laws of your jurisdiction;
• Generate or disseminate:
  • Unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading content
  • Content involving violence, hate, discrimination, harassment, or personal attacks
  • Sexually exploitative content or harmful content involving minors
  • Harmful content related to drugs, weapons, self-harm, or terrorism
  • Content that infringes others' intellectual property, likeness rights, or privacy
  • Malware, hacking tools, or exploit code
• Use generated content directly in critical decisions requiring professional qualifications without human review: medical diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, etc.;
• Abuse or maliciously invoke the Service: traffic inflation, credential stuffing, replay attacks, large-scale scraping for training competing models, or otherwise interfere with the Service's normal operation;
• Circumvent the content filtering, rate limiting, or billing mechanisms of Velahub or upstream model providers;
• Resell or sublicense Velahub's service capabilities. If you have such a need, please contact the operator to negotiate a commercial agreement.

Upon detecting any of the above conduct, Velahub may immediately suspend your account and retain any fees already charged; serious cases may be reported to the competent authorities of your jurisdiction.

• Currency and pricing. All prices on the Service are denominated in U.S. dollars (USD). Wallet balances are accounted in USD micro-cents (μ¢). Local currency may be displayed for convenience but the transaction is processed in USD.
• Pay-as-you-go (PAYG): you top up an amount of credit; each API call is deducted according to the upstream cost plus the displayed gateway margin. Credits do not expire.
• Subscription plans: a fixed periodic fee in exchange for a periodic token quota. Unused quota does not carry over to the next period; cancel anytime — your plan remains active until the end of the paid period.
• Top-up codes: credited upon redemption; the codes themselves are non-refundable for cash.
• Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy is responsible for collecting payment, calculating and remitting applicable sales tax / VAT / GST, and issuing receipts. Lemon Squeezy is the entity that appears on your bank statement and the counterparty to your payment.
• Refunds. See our Refund Policy for the full refund window and process. In short: a purchase is eligible for a full refund within 14 days only if no credits have been consumed (and no subscription period has started). Once any usage has occurred, the purchase is non-refundable — partial refunds are not offered.

• Prompts you input and materials you upload: ownership belongs to you; you grant Velahub a limited, non-exclusive license to process them solely for the purpose of fulfilling and metering your request.
• Output generated by the model: ownership and right of use are determined by the terms of the corresponding model provider. Some providers (e.g. OpenAI) assign output to users; others (e.g. Google) retain rights. Review each provider's terms before commercial reliance.
• Velahub does not use your requests to train models. Whether upstream model providers log or train on your data is subject to each provider's own policy.

We collect only the data necessary to operate the Service. Our full Privacy Policy is at /privacy. In summary, to complete API calls and reconcile billing, Velahub records:

• Account metadata: email address, registration time, API Key prefix and creation time;
• Call metadata: timestamp, model ID, input/output token counts, cost, and status code;
• Full request and response content: used for audit and troubleshooting, retained for 90 days by default, and automatically purged thereafter;
• Payment data. Lemon Squeezy holds payment-method data (card number, billing address, etc.) as Merchant of Record; we receive only an order identifier and the paid amount.

Please refrain from submitting sensitive personal information (such as identity document numbers, bank-card numbers, medical records, etc.) in prompts unless absolutely necessary. The model provider may retain those inputs per its own policy.

The operator will disclose your data in the following circumstances: in response to lawful requests from competent or judicial authorities; to defend our legitimate rights and interests; or with your express consent.

• Velahub makes no SLA commitments. Interruptions or degradations may occur due to upstream failures, network issues, scheduled maintenance, or force majeure.
• You may close your account at any time — Dashboard → Sign out → email support to request account deletion. Within 30 days of the deletion request, the operator will erase your account data, except for records required to be retained by applicable law or for legitimate business records.
• In the event of a material breach of these Terms, Velahub may terminate the Service immediately. Eligibility for refund of any remaining balance follows the Refund Policy.

This Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Velahub makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, suitability for a particular purpose, or fitness for legal or commercial decisions of model outputs. Model outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or biases; you are responsible for verifying them before acting on them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velahub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm arising from your use of the Service.

Velahub's aggregate liability is capped at: the amount you have actually paid to Velahub in the most recent 12 months, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of registration (excluding conflict-of-laws rules). Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction at the operator's place of registration.

Your use of the Service may implicate the laws of multiple jurisdictions. These Terms only specify the governing law for the Velahub Service itself; legal exposure arising from your use of the generated content is governed by the laws of your own jurisdiction.

These Terms may be updated due to changes in laws and regulations, service adjustments, upstream policy changes, or other reasons. Material updates will be announced in advance via in-product notice or email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The operator of Velahub reserves the right of final interpretation of these Terms. If any individual provision conflicts with applicable law, that provision shall be deemed adjusted to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
